5/4: NYDLC 2016 Advocacy Day Joint Legislative Affairs - Minority Voting Rights Planning Meeting

2016 continues to be a very active year for NYDLC's Legislative Affairs and Minority Voting Rights Committee and for voting rights advocacy across New York State and America. With renewed focus from Governor Cuomo, 2016 legislative priorities include bringing Early Vote to New York (a goal NYDLC has pursued for several years) and revolutionizing the way we register voters by enacting a system of automatic voter registration.

Beyond these priorities, NYDLC continues to advocate for convenient pro-voter reforms like same-day registration, simplified ballot design, registration portability, online registration, pre-registration for the next generation of voters, and more. To do so, NYDLC members will be traveling to Albany on May 10 for our annual Pro-Voter Advocacy Day to meet with legislators and staff and discuss pending legislation.

But these are big priorities, and we can't achieve them without your relentless dedication, active participation, and continued support. RSVP below to help finalize NYDLC's 2016 legislative agenda at our 5/4 planning meeting.
