The New York Democratic Lawyers Council (NYDLC), in partnership with New Yorkers for Inclusive Democracy, and Assemblymember Latrice Walker invite you to a FREE* Continuing Legal Education (CLE) workshop discussing voter protection outcomes in 2024, threats we face in 2025, and what we can do to better coordinate, at the 54th Annual Black Latino Hispanic & Asian Legislative Conference in Albany.
Our expert panel will review issues identified by NYDLC's voter protection efforts in New York, examine specific measures that will help us defend our civil and voting rights, including the census, enhanced “back-end” automatic voter registration and the Democracy During Detention Act, and how communities can better coordinate to resist the attacks and inspire our volunteer base leading into 2025 and 2026.
This course, scheduled for Saturday February 15, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, is a one (1) hour program offering 1 NYS professional practice CLE Credit to attorneys who attend and is appropriate for newly-admitted and experienced attorneys. Non-attorneys and those not seeking credit are also welcome and encouraged to attend!
