Dissecting the New York Primary: Lost Votes and the Creation of a Better Process for November CLE

On June 23, 2020 New York held its primary and special elections amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Governor Cuomo issued a series of executive orders to dramatically change how voting works in NY, in order to cope with the crisis.

This panel will examine what worked, and what needs improvement. The topic will be discussed from a legal, administrative, and field perspective.

Panelists include:

  • Amanda Blair, co-founder, Brooklyn Voters Alliance
  • Dustin Czarny, Chair, Democratic Commissioners Caucus
  • Rachel Landy, Co-Chair, NYDLC Legislative Affairs Committee
  • Austin Morgan, Field Organizer, McMurray for Congress
  • Ali Najmi, Esq

This is an all-virtual event!

Non-attorneys are welcome to join.

In hopes that this vital discussion reaches a broad audience, and in recognition of hard times for many, this CLE has one, low ticket price for all. If you would like to make a voluntary, additional contribution, you may do so here.
