The New York Democratic Lawyers Council (NYDLC) is a coalition of attorneys, law students, and voting rights advocates who have a deep commitment to Democratic politics and who share the common goal of protecting each citizen’s right to vote.

Our next Capital Region Chapter meeting will take place on Thursday, February 11, at 5:30 PM at One Commerce Plaza, Albany, NY (Please RSVP and see details below)

We will discuss steps to further build out our new Chapter and will start organizing and planning for important 2016 Democratic priorities like retaining the White House, winning back our Congress, and finally electing a working Democratic Majority in the New York State Senate!

NYDLC's Capital Region Chapter meetings are open to all members who would like to be more involved. We are lining up an exciting year of voting rights advocacy and working with allies to organize impactful events in support of our 2016 priorities.

We welcome attorneys, law students, and non-attorney advocates who share a passion for improving democracy and fairness to join our organization and participate as members at the level the best works for you. With NYDLC, you can serve as an election monitor; attend, develop, or present CLEs; join our committees; develop voting rights policy advocacy and lobby for pro-voter reforms; or, simply stay up to speed on voting rights issues in New York and nationwide by signing up for the weekly NYDLC Law Briefs Newsletter.

With some of our most cherished civil and political rights under siege, it is more critical than ever for Democrats to focus on strengthening and expanding voting rights, and we can't do it without you!
