Election monitoring is central to NYDLC's mission. Our voter protection program helps ensure that all eligible voters are able to cast a ballot without difficulty or intimidation and have their votes accurately counted. NYDLC helps to organize and advise on these efforts in support of Democratic candidates who stand up for voting rights at all levels of government and across the country.
You can help NYDLC protect the vote by committing to serve as a monitor on Election Day. All attorneys, law students, and non-attorney voting rights advocates are welcome to participate. We conduct comprehensive 1-hour training sessions, so prior experience is not necessary. Please join this important effort by scrolling to the top of this page and clicking "Voter Protection".
Put your issue-spotting skills and legal acumen to work in the community, defending the rights of voters as they exercise the most basic of civil and political rights. Each voter you assist is a lost vote saved.
Not free to monitor the polls on Election Day?
You can support NYDLC's voter protection and advocacy efforts by making a generous contribution.
Or, if you can help by hosting a community meeting, forum, or training to raise awareness about voting rights, please contact NYDLC.
